Students in 1st through 5th grade will participate in the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) in mathematics and reading like they did in the fall. MAP is an untimed computer-adaptive assessment that measures student growth and achievement, independent of grade level or age. Students in grades 1 and 2 will take MAP again in the Spring. For grades 3-5 this will be the final MAP administration of the school year due to the PARCC assessment. Make Ups will be given if your child/ren is absent on the day the assessment is given. The only preparation needed from parents is to ensure that their child gets a good night’s sleep and has a healthy breakfast the morning of the assessment.
