Dear Parents/Guardians of Students in Grades 3-5,

            This spring your child will take the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) Assessments. The assessments will be given for reading and math.   All instructional preparation for the assessments will be given at school.  If parents would like additional information about PARCC they can go to https://www.hcpss.org/academics/testing/parcc/ on the HCPSS website.  Parents/Guardians can help by ensuring your child eats breakfast the mornings of the assessments, gets a good night’s sleep the night before the assessments, and comes to school on time.  The dates of each assessment are below and all assessments will begin at 9:30 AM.  If your child comes to school on a day when they are taking PARCC and the assessment has already started then they will read a book or complete any work that they have with them in their backpack until the assessment is over. 

Grade 3- Math: 5/10, 5/13, 5/14 & 5/30

Grade 3- Reading: 4/26, 4/29 & 5/1

Grade 4- Math: 5/15, 5/17, 5/20 & 5/31

Grade 4- Reading: 5/7, 5/8 & 5/9

Grade 5- Math: 5/28, 5/29, 6/3 & 6/4  

Grade 5- Reading: 5/2, 5/3 & 5/6
